The residents of Nagar Road want the Metro route planned in the area to be altered and paved through the river bed instead. A letter comprising of the demand among several others has been sent to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavisalong with the Metro authorities and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). However, officials have said that the demand is a little too late as the budget has been sanctioned for the route and that "citizens have no reason to give representation at this point".
